✷ Get to Know Us: Interview
Cruda Collective is formed by interdisciplinary artists & experimental filmmakers, Laila saber Rodriguez (CAI-CDMX) and Andrea Galano Toro (CL, ES), based between The Netherlands and Berlin. The duo collaboration explores how alternative practices, especially magic and spell-writing can destabilize the western way of knowledge production. The wordCruda means raw in Spanish, which refers to the raw worlds they encounter and raw-approach to research and storytelling. They believe that this can animate other worlds and voices, such as landscapes, or elements which in turn, can activate ruptures within the dominant system of knowledge. The duo operates through exhibitions, screenings, and performance readings.
